Crown Royal Noble Collection 16 Year Rye

So many moons later I’ve come back to this. I remember it being good. Well it’s better than I remember. Nose: vanilla, Carmel, brown sugar, a bit of ethanol. Palate: all spice, vanilla and Carmel sweetness. A bit of orange zest. It’s damn tasty. Finish: rye spices that linger a bit. Overall: it’s a really good pour in beautiful packaging. Seriously that bottle is class

It had been a while since I last tasted this, decided to take a sip to see if it was as good as I remembered. Turns out it is better. Rich and deep, this is complex well beyond what I’d expect for a 90 proof spirit. There is rye character, and so much caramel and rich creamy vanilla. Delicious.

4.15 oaky, smoky and hint of nilla

Rye spice. Mint. Honey. Pear and clove in the finish. It is very light and mellow.

Well made. Smooth. A bit spicy all through for me.
