Amber in color. Medium bodied with a silky mouthfeel. Nose: vanilla, soft spice, candied apple, hints of cinnamon. Very well rounded, all the pieces come together for a pleasant and enticing aroma. Palate: Caramel, vanilla, and apple sweetness at the front—all very rich and full. Heats up through the middle with some spicing joining as it builds to a big oaky finish leaving apple-cinnamon flavors behind. Really satisfying. 4.7/5 - so 5 stars on here. Great whiskey!

Deep honey colored. Lighter medium bodied whisky with a silky mouthfeel. Nose: fruity and honey sweetness, sea salt, seaweed, camp smoke, mild peat. Some bright citrus and meatiness are present as well. Incredibly complex and rich. Palate: a little butterscotch, honey, and citrus at the start. Delicate peat smoke and seaweed build in the middle. A little chocolate and tobacco appear as well. The finish is long, warming, and rich, leaving a lingering sweetness and tasty peatiness behind. Some soft smoke billows up throughout the finish adding to the complex richness of this scotch. This is one of my all time favorites.

Springbank 10 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed February 1, 2018 (edited November 30, 2019)Trying this for the first time. Light honey colored. Light bodied with an oily mouthfeel. I didn’t get to try this in a glencairn so I’ll probably change my review and ranking down the road, but upon first tasting, I give it 3.2/5 or a 3 on here. It’s fine, but I think I need more to appreciate the finish which packs a bit too much bite for my palate. Nose: soft fruity sweetness-some raisin and bright citrus joined by Honey with hints of sea salt and mellow smoke also present. Palate: Soft fruity sweetness and honey lead the way. The whisky heats up in the middle with some oak and smoke. The finish is a bit hot and reveals surprising smoke and oil, leaving a lingering some smokiness, spicy oak, and crisp fruitiness behind. -

Darker honey colored. Light bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Nose: Caramel, brown sugar, and some apple sweetness. Soft spices and nuttiness are present too. Palate: brown sugar and caramel to start, then some apple, honey, and soft spice join in. Finish is medium length. somewhat dry, and a touch hot leaving some lingering spice, nuttiness, and honey. Overall it’s pleasant but not impressive. A tasty dram, but not mind blowing. The finish leaves a bit to be desired in my estimation.

Dark amber in color. Lighter bodied whiskey with a velvety mouth feel. Nose: soft vanilla sweetness with ripe apple followed by a bit of caramel and a little oak in the back. Zero ethanol despite the 110 Proof. Palate: caramel sweetness and rich fruit at the front, spiciness heats up in the middle. Finish is medium length and fairly hot but still pleasant and not all that dry, with lingering caramel and spice. I’d give it above a 4.5/5 so 5 stars on here 🥃
