Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 7, 2017 (edited November 22, 2017)Nose has some honey, almond, and pear. Palette is sweet with some banana and brown sugar notes. Roll it around a bit and some black pepper and cinnamon come through. Heat but not a burn on the finish. Enjoyable. Tasty. -
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed October 7, 2017 (edited November 17, 2017)Rick L-7 Barrel 15-0340 Bottled 1-14-15 Nice color. Tails were slow to form, medium sized and moved medium slow. Nose is Jack. Pallet has some spice but is generally mild. You can feel this move down your throat to your belly but it isn't that high proof burn in the mouth. Enjoyable. May purchase again. -

Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 7, 2017 (edited September 21, 2019)Delicious with some spice on the palette. The spice lingers after the swallow but no burn. Enjoying it more and more as I sip. This may need to stay in my cabinet. -
OYO Bourbon Whiskey Michelone Reserve
Bourbon — Ohio, USA
Reviewed October 7, 2017 (edited November 17, 2017)Nose is brown sugar with hints of oak. Palette has some oaks and the notes of the wheat whiskey also spice. The bourbon notes add nice bite and tones over the wheat whiskey. Pleasant burn on the finish. I'm not a fan of the wheat whiskey so this was a pleasant surprise. While not the first thing on my purchase again list I might throw down for this in the future. -
Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 7, 2017 (edited November 17, 2017)A little sweet on the nose. Light to medium color. Medium sized fast tails. Not really enjoying this. -
New Holland Zeppelin Bend Straight Malt Whiskey
American Single Malt — Michigan, USA
Reviewed October 7, 2017 (edited November 17, 2017)Nose invoked the outdoors. Initial pallet was spicy. Which isn't what I remembered. Second sip was mild and that outdoorsy note on the nose comes through in the palette. Not much finish. Fun to try again as it had been a few years and I wasn't much into whiskey then. Bottom line is I'm not sure what I think.
