Redbreast 12 Year Cask Strength
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed January 31, 2022 (edited March 20, 2022)Batch B1/21, 56.3% ABV Nose: shortbread, orange, and vanilla Palate: shortbread cookie, butter, metallic/copper, dried figs, orange zest, vanilla ice cream, ginger, baking spice, and oakiness. Bold and rich, and only a little hot Finish: dried fruit, nutty, spices, and some bitter oak With water added: softer and less hot for sure, more shortbread and butter and gets sweeter overall. Overall: big, rich and super tasty! Big classic pot still notes, way more baking spice than I was expecting (even gingerbread-like), and complex. I always like the 12 and 15 years, but this is an upgrade in my opinion.100.0 USD per Bottle -
Craigellachie 13 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 30, 2022 (edited October 7, 2022)Nose: Lemon, herbal, lemonhead candies, honey Palate: lemon, honey, apple, baking spice, throat lozenge, funkiness, black tea, and herbs Finish: malty and sweet with more of the honey-lemon thing carrying through Overall: A really unique, well put-together single malt at 46% and NCF. Great for changing it up from the typical Speyside/Highland profiles. Definitely great if you like lemon flavored things (like me), but not for everyone. -

Ardbeg Wee Beastie
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed November 17, 2021 (edited December 21, 2021)On the nose: smoke, peat, milk chocolate and sweet vanilla On the palate: peat, smoke, brine, touch of citrus, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, ham (RUMMMM HAMMMM?), and sweet vanilla and honey. Finishes very sweet accompanied by smoke and earthiness. The 10 is more refined, but this is a great dram. I like it even better with a touch of water which brings out more sweetness to balance the peat notes.45.0 USD per Bottle
