Tastes

It's good but in my opinion a bit overrated here on Distiller. This cost me 89 CAD$, I was suspecting something pretty spectacular but it's not that unfortunately. It's still good, don't get me wrong here. Spicy,fruity, a medium finish. Just not overly remarkable.

This is a sherried dram with an extra dimension. Glad to have the 43% ABV version here in Canada. Mostly sherry notes with faint notes of peat and salt in the background. The nose and palate are dominated by dried fruits, the finish has notes of licorice and brine. A real crowd pleaser this is and not for no reason, great stuff!

Wow, this is very tasty, packs a lot of flavours. Decided to pick this one up after some good reviews here on Distiller and I'm very glad I did! This is a steal for only 35 CAD$. Nice toffee, pears and black licorice on the palate, I also get the black pepper note that they discribe on the bottle. Non chillfiltered, 50% ABV, a medium finish. This is the best blended Scotch I had so far! Cheers

Surprise of the night, very unique flavor profile. Its sweet but it has a very drying finish. Completely different from the 10 and 14 year old but very pleasant. The finish is long probably due to the 50% ABV. Fruity and spicy. Great!

Classic Laphroaig peat bomb, peat on the nose, the palate and finish. As soon as you take a sip peat coats your mouth, hard to detect any sherry influence to be honest. Second sip is different, some faint sweetness in the background. Added 2 drops of water but still no sherry :p. I will let my bottle sit for some weeks and get back to you guys!

Wow, this is some oily Scotch, long legs in my glass and very mouth coating! I get a lot of cinnamon on the palate, reminds me a bit of Spice tree from Compass Box. I can feel a light peat tingling but it's very subtle. Nice finish as well, solid 4 stars for me, cheers!

Very crisp and fresh, a big hit of sweet and sour green apples on the palate, a little touch of salt shows up on the finish which is medium long. If you like Arran you will enjoy this, cheers!

This is really amazing stuff, great quality for a great price. Very creamy is what comes to mind first, also honey, citrus and some sea salt.

I don't get any of the green apples from the Distiller tasting notes to be honest, for me the fruity side is more of citrus or lemon even. For the rest it's mostly brine and smoke and sea salt. Great stuff, cheers!

Good solid everyday dram, nothing to complex but still pleasant. Sweet and some oranges on the palate with a nice finish full of spices (mainly cinnamon) and some black pepper in the back. For 32 CAD$ this is great, cheers!
