Reviewed November 21, 2021 (edited January 14, 2024)A- amber +2, high viscosity N- w/water: Springbank FUNK, orange peels, tangerine, honey, vanilla, chocolate, sea minerals, sultanas, apples, light smoke, floral , fresh grass P- w/water: beautiful spicy arrival, light peat and smoke, rich, full, oily, FUNKY, orange, tangerines, green apples, honey, vanilla, toffee, chocolate, briny, sea salt, sea water, earthy, wet oak F- long finish, sweet-fruity-briny-oaky aftertaste C- it’s just SO GOOD!!!!! -

Reviewed November 9, 2021 (edited August 6, 2022)A- amber -1, high viscosity N- w/water: lemons, orange peels, sultanas, honey, vanilla P- w/water: spicy arrival a bit hot and sharp on the edges, full, rich, honey, vanilla, tangerine, lemon, orange peels, cinnamon, pepper, briny, dry oak F- long finish, sweet-fruity-dry aftertaste C- good dram! but a bit too hot, sharp and dry for my taste, will let it seat for 2 more months and see what happens -

Reviewed November 7, 2021 (edited December 17, 2022)A- amber +1,high viscosity N- honey, vanilla, toffee, tangerine, orange zest, sultanas, berries, apricot, plums, chocolate P- light pleasant fruity spicy arrival, full rich, oily, honey, vanilla, toffee, sultanas, plums, apricots, red berries, chocolate, wet oak, walnuts, licorice, sea water F- medium finish, sweet-fruity-oaky aftertaste C- it's interesting to experience how this dram will evolve in your glass at the beginning you get the bourbon cask influence and then when you let it rest in your glass the sherry cask start to kicks in, this show you how complex and well balanced this dram is. -
Lagavulin 9 Year (Game of Thrones-House Lannister)

Reviewed November 3, 2021 (edited December 17, 2022)A- amber-1, high viscosity N- light peat and smoke, fruity (tangerines, green apples, sultanas, lemon zest, orange peels), honey, vanilla, sea minerals P- spicy smoky arrival , rich, full, oily, savory, briny, white pepper, sultanas, tangerines, green apples, honey, vanilla, sea water, wet oak F- medium finish, sweet-savory-pepper aftertaste C- the first time I tried this bottle I did not give a high rating but maybe it was my fault because I added some drops of water and it got bland so I waited 2 months to give another try and this time no water added and oh boy!! how the oxidation helped this dram, it needs patience but I recommend it -

Reviewed October 28, 2021 (edited December 17, 2022)A- amber +2,medium viscosity N- what a beautiful and elegant nose, plums, apricots, raisins, vanilla, toffee, berries, burned sugar, cotton candy, walnuts, rum cake P- elegant spicy arrival, rich, oily, full, raisins, plums, apricots, berries, honey, toffee, wet oak, rum cake, burned sugar, walnuts, milk chocolate F- medium to long finish, sweet-oaky- vanilla cake pleasant aftertaste C- this is another GEM from Billy Walker so elegant, so tasty, so pleasant! try it you won't regret it but of course PATIENCE is key with this dram let it breathe -

Reviewed October 17, 2021 (edited December 17, 2022)A- amber -1, high viscosity N- honey, vanilla, tangerine, savory?potato skin?( firts time picking this), sea minerals, sultanas, green apples P- Spicy arrival, rich, full, oily, honey vanilla, toffee, sea salt, light smoke, oak, sea minerals, sea water, earthy F- long pleasant finish, sweet-sea salt-earthy aftertaste C- there is lot going on with this dram, definitely one of it's kind the level of complexity for an 8 years old whisky is just impressive, pick one if you have the chance definitely something you should try in your whisky journey -
