Neat. Deep copper/brassy color. Nose is sweet molasses with fruit, overripe stone fruits of peach, nectarine, mango along with ripe banana. Moderately light hogo and oak notes as well. Taste is sweet molasses, banana and fruit, baking spices, some vanilla and oak, the phenolic hogo flavors come later to balance it out. Finish is moderate, sweet and tart with caramel, vanilla, and phenols and light oak tannin Great intro into Jamaican rums with it being fairly approachable. Great mixing rum to add a little complexity without overwhelming22.0 USD per Bottle

Neat. Clear, golden straw color. Aroma of agave, butterscotch, vanilla with some oak, green herbs, pineapple, and earth. Taste is nicely balanced and true to nose. Agave, light butterscotch, vanilla, slight milk chocolate, balanced by some dry oak, cinnamon, pepper and herbs. The butterscotch and vanilla run into the long finish more than other tequilas, but also dries out with those oak tannins along with some cinnamon bark and light pepper Unique with its evolution of flavors. When I taste butterscotch, I'm expecting a cloyingly sweet drink, but this actually only starts moderately sweet, but then finishes pretty dry A little pricey, but this is an honest, quality tequila that justifies it70.0 USD per Bottle

Tres Generaciones Reposado Tequila
Tequila Reposado — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed June 20, 2022Neat. Clear, straw color. Aroma is alcohol, some oak, vanilla, black pepper, slightly herbal, raw agave, minerals. Taste is a bit harsh, dominated by black pepper, alcohol, slight raw agave, pear, vanilla, oak, caramel, baking spices. Finish is simple, dry, bitter, black pepper, some saccharine sweetness, very slight vanilla/caramel. Not a sipping tequila, unless you like overwhelming black pepper. Too expensive for mixing. There are better options for half the price44.5 USD per Bottle -
Tequila Tapatio Añejo
Tequila Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed June 4, 2022 (edited July 28, 2024)Neat. Beautiful golden straw color. Nose is sweet agave, dusty oak, minerals, light honey, pear, vanilla, herbs, black pepper. Taste is natural, sweet agave, honey, oak, vanilla, herbs, cinnamon, black pepper. Finishes a little buttery, with some slight sweetness, oak tannins, vanilla, cinnamon and pepper Love this light, natural tasting anejo, that still showcases a lot of agave Very similar to El Tesoro anejo, which is one of my favorites (same distillery, slightly different methods). Not quite as good, maybe 95%, but significantly cheaper around me, since they nearly doubled the price recently..so a nice regular day sub. Can be hard to find, so I snag a bottle when i see it53.0 USD per Bottle -
Neat. Crystal clear color. Aroma of clean alcohol, hint of mint/menthol, whisper of banana peel if you look for it. Taste starts with some white sugar and light molasses sweetness. Slight citrus, grass, and wood notes. Dry finish with vanilla sweetness Sippable, but best for mixing. Step up from other bigger brands to add a little complexity to simple drinks. Good price for the quality (My cost is shown for 1.75l)30.0 USD per Bottle

Corralejo Tequila Extra Añejo
Tequila Extra Añejo — Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed May 20, 2022 (edited December 27, 2023)Neat. Aroma is dominated by the wood. Also some caramel, dark fruit, slight agave, citrus and minerals. Taste starts sweet with caramel, lots of char and oak, then agave, dark fruit, cinnamon and pepper. Finish is very long and dry with oak tannins, cinnamon, saccharine, black pepper The strong wood influence pushes the flavor profile close to bourbon. The agave plays a backseat on this juice. Bourbon drinkers would definitely enjoy this if they're looking to get into tequila.65.0 USD per Bottle -
Corralejo Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Guanajuato, Mexico
Reviewed May 20, 2022 (edited July 26, 2022)Neat. Brassy color, Thin, long legs. Aroma is caramel, oak, smoke, agave, black pepper, slight vanilla, cherry, and citrus. Flavor is sweet caramel balanced with lots of dusty charred oak, spicy cinnamon and black pepper, some vanilla and agave. Finish has lots of oak tannins, some sweetness and pepper. Overall, I enjoyed this, but the flavor is a bit closer to a well aged bourbon than tequila.. That said, would make a great crossover tequila for bourbon lovers.39.0 USD per Bottle
