In 2011, there was a lawsuit for the registration of the name (Havana) between the owners of this Brazilian cachaça and the company Havana Clube Holding S/A, of Havana Club rum. Justice decided that cachaça could use the name Havana. Cachaça Havana began to be produced in the early 1940s by Anísio Santiago, at Fazenda Havana, at the foot of Serra dos Bois, in Salinas, in the north of Minas Gerais. Cachaça Havana is one of the most traditional artisanal cachaças in Brazil and considered by many to be the most famous brand of the national distillate. It is stored for 12 years in balsam barrels, typical wood from the Salinas region, Minas Gerais. Robust, it has an alcohol content of 47%. It is so important for the cachaceira culture of the state and Brazil that it was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Salinas in 2006. (Visual) Possessing bright golden yellow color Havana is clear. (Nose) Great herbal aroma. Perfect viscosity proven by the persistent tears that form on the edge of the glass. (Mouth) Palate marked by balsam wood with hints of herbs, especially fennel and aniseed, among countless others. Very rich. Alcohol is very present but without bothering. Soft and velvety, it surprises in the smell and in the mouth. (Conclusion) An excellent option for those seeking differentiated sensory richness in a full-bodied alcoholic beverage Certifications .INPI - Indication of Origin (Salinas) .IBD Seal - Organic Product Brazil awards Havana is elected the best cachaça in Brazil by the V Ranking of the Cachaça Summit 2022/2024 Cachaça Havana won the award for Best Cachaça in Brazil in the Stored/Aged category .2018 - 17th Place in the Cúpula da Cachaça Ranking. .2016 - 10th Place in the Cúpula da Cachaça Ranking. .2009 – Best Cachaça in Brazil – Playboy Magazine (August edition) .2007 – 2nd Best Cachaça in Brazil – Playboy Magazine (April edition) .1990 – Best Cachaça in Brazil – Playboy Magazine (April edition) Source: Cachaçaria Nacional and Atellie da Cachaça120.0 USD per BottleMineiro Tropeiro

One winter in Rio Grande do Sul, a gentleman with a Caribbean accent visited the Weber Haus still and was impressed with the quality of the Cachaças tasted. Before leaving, he challenged Evandro Weber to create an excellent rum that could surpass the best labels in the Americas. The provocation stayed in Evandro's mind for years, until he decided to comply with the request of that mysterious visitor, who didn't even know the name. The bottle 001 is on display at the Weber Haus boutique, on the romantic route in Rio Grande do Sul, awaiting the return of this "Señor" to attest whether the challenge was met. This Brazilian Premium Rum was stored for two years in three different woods (Amburana, Balsam and Oak Barrels). Made from sugarcane molasses, it can be enjoyed pure, as an excellent aged distilled beverage. Light, it has an alcohol content of 38, aromatic, sweet and woody, rich in sensorial terms. Transparent cachaça (it is said "white" in Brazil) without passing through wood but 1 year in stainless steel tanks. Fruity flavor predominates with a pleasant presence of sugarcane sweetness. The resting process in stainless steel maintains its original translucency and in the glass it is clear, bright and of medium body. Although it has an alcohol content of 40%, on the nose there is little alcohol and a fresh, slightly sweet, but striking aroma of sugarcane bagasse. It leaves in the mouth a velvety sensation of a soft cachaça with medium acidity. An ideal cachaça to drink pure or to make cocktails. Transparent and limpid, this cachaça is bright and on the nose, it stands out herbal, vegetable and a fruity and sweet finish. In the mouth, the aromas are repeated in flavors in perfect harmony with its more pronounced alcoholic body8.0 USD per BottleEspaço Cervejeiro Pajé
