Reviewed October 31, 2019 (edited December 3, 2019)Barrel 3887 on 9.28.07 Warm charry nose with a fair amount of spice, ripe fruit and rye with hints of chocolate. Soft palate, lots of heat. Residual caramel blended with spice and vanilla. LOTS going on here... LONG finish dominated by barrel char and spice, balanced with lingering sweetness. I miss being able to get this. -

Reviewed October 25, 2019Nose is Earthy sweetness, maple, vanilla and ripe fruit. Same hay mow aroma that seems to come through in all the WP offerings. Thick, viscous body carries an incredibly complex blend of flavors. More barrel comes through in this, but it's unbelievable how well balanced and easy to drink it is for its proof Dark, toasted grains, sweetness that lingers and mixes with a bit of barrel char. Long, meandering finish leaves some stickiness on the palate with cobwebs and burnt sugar. -

Reviewed October 20, 2019Nose is dominated by ripe fruits and barrel char. Rich cigars and wood. Black pepper notes as well. Warm and sweet front, some cloying... Smoky. -

Reviewed October 13, 2019 (edited April 14, 2021)Nose of light caramel, vanilla, rolled grains and pie spices. Hot dry spices and woodiness on palate, some butterscotch and dried fruit. Apricots Warm and well balanced. Makes a fantastic old fashioned -

Reviewed October 11, 2019Nose is dominated by barrel. Char, some sweeter corn notes and a bit of dark fruit, tobacco and oak. Front is sweeter, palate is warm and has some molasses and Smoky notes. long warm finish with a blend of all mentioned so far. -

The Irishman Founder's Reserve

Reviewed August 30, 2019 (edited November 12, 2019)Smooth, easy drink. Nothing spectacular, but solid nonetheless. Nose is hay, musty barn, some lighter fruits and spices. Front is sweet and smooth, followed by some cereal grain on the palate and a warm finish. Light caramel and toast with hints of sugar cookies and toasted pecan.
