Exceptional. This is the burn i been looking for mixed full on with a series of rich florals. This wont knock bookers center cut off my fave of 15 high proof throne but damn this is good stuff. UPDATE - Just polished off a third bottle. This is a five star, I really see this becoming my go to sipping bourbon. This is a hidden gem at a great price point.

This is a strange one. So many grain notes throughout but dialed alllll the way down. More interesting than great, very glad i tried it but would not go for a bottle.

This is very very smooth. Almost too smooth, great nose and the right burn on the end but the middle was too thin for me, not as complex as i was hoping...

Believe the hype. This is what rue should taste like. Spiiiicy with a bit of chocolate in there. God I wish I could get myself a bottle.

Good not great. Nose is very nice but once you dive in doesn't quite live up. Bit too sweet for my taste.

Review's not technically accurate, as I have a private selection obsq barrel strength. Boy is that a BOURBON, it's like maker's on steroids. Nice, butterscotch-y sweetness up front, then it punches you on a throat with the alcohol, then a buttery sweet finish with very little smoke due to the aforementioned throat punch.

Love the oak on Blanton's. Not too sweet but a nice dose of brown sugar up front, very long and smooth finish. This is a great go to that's pretty widely available and has a killer bottle. UPDATE – had a particularly spectacular bottle from Grand Cru in Nashville who did a private bottling. Having them ship me two more from the same batch, had a longer finish than I'm used to on Blanton's that took it to another level.
