Bushmills 10 Year Single Malt
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed March 30, 2019 (edited August 18, 2019)Very light and fruity at the nose with hidden notes of little smokiness. The first sip reveal the malt surpassingly spicy with a medium body a bit oily due to the triple distillation. Last taste of red fruits (grenadine) syrup and fresh mint.3.6 GBP per Shot -
(Very nice and sweet smell from the Oloroso barrel as for the colour. The dram isn't smoky nor peaty. Full and oily body. This permits to not feel the high alcohol value of the Cask strength (59.9% ABV). Some spicy notes (Ginger and pepper?) at the firsts tastes with cinnamon. Adding the water drops will let citrus hints sparkle off at the nose and enhance the cinnamon smell. The taste stays quite the same though. Sour cherry liquorous and languorous finish55.0 GBP per Shot

Deanston 15 Year Organic
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 26, 2019 (edited March 27, 2019)Good Whisky, the organic version gives a very light coulour. Crispy, light vanilla (bourbon barrel) and Christmas cake tastes. Not smoky at all for a sweet finish. -
Glen Scotia Double Cask Single Malt
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed March 7, 2019 (edited May 6, 2019)Very fruity and bit salty nose. Prune, grape and cinnamon are highly presents. A bit of vanilla oaky smells from the American cask as well. First taste lets the Sherry Cask exploits all it's flavors. Later tastes are from the American oak so it is a very good balanced mix. Peppered finish. Adding water the smell dissapers a bit and new notes of lavanda. At the palate it's roughly the same but a bit more oily and slightly less peppered. Definitely one of my favorite whisky so far4.0 GBP per Shot -
Auchentoshan Three Wood
Single Malt — Lowlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 7, 2019 (edited February 3, 2020)The AUCHENTOSHAN has a surprising chocolate copper colour. Very light nose with plenty of fruits (liquorous clementine and blueberries). Lost smell of dark chocolate as well. As advertised on the bottle it appears as a complex whisky but sympathetic and easily accessible with different tastes of chocolate, caramel and fruits, a little of cinnamon. Contrary as what was written, I only had the smell of toasted hazelnut together with what seems to me like salted popcorn at the very end of the dram. But could not get the taste on my tongue though. Surprising at the firsts taste. All the fruits taste are finally overwhelmed by the chocolate and caramel which is a bit disappointing after a so good beggining to not keep up until the end. Good malt though I can recommend it to anybody amateur or more experimented taster5.0 GBP per Pour -
Although the SPRINGBANK is a peated whisky, it doesn't have so much at the smell. The vanilla and oak wood barrel cover the other odours. Quite strong in alcohol it is also lightly spicy, pepper tastes. The dram has a very round full tongue which reminds oil and sea salt. Adding a drop of water makes sea smell and taste more powerful. Later taste let some hidden agrumes tastes come over with the oil.5.0 GBP per Pour

At the nose a light and somewhat fruity bouquet let presage a classic whisky. At the first taste however, it gets very creamy and fill up every space in the mouth and throat. Creamy, oily, fruit and cinnamon come to please the palet. Extremly surprinsing dram and ould like to taste it a second time to get a better impression

Very mighty alcohool smell and barely nothing else. It is possible to find some reminesence of peat. At the mouth the dram shows his young age and his impetuosity with an unexperienced sensation of weight and heaviness crushing the tongue. Did not enjoy it though because only a bit of salt and very light creamy aspect could overpass the strong alchohol taste5.45 GBP per Shot
