The Glenrothes Whisky Maker's Cut
Single Malt — Speyside, ScotlandReviewed September 20, 2023Quite a lot of vanilla and wood on the nose, with a hint of cherry. The body comes across as quite earthy, with almost a hint of mushroom amongst the Sherry notes. It is sweet, with hints of butterscotch and coffee coming into round out the finish. Advantages rather quickly leaving behind vanilla bean.
Pursuit United Rye - The Oak Collection
Rye — Kentucky , USAReviewed September 3, 2023Rye whiskey it's just not for me. I get a very rubbery and oily note overall. Same as the high-rise basil hayden. Probably other ryes as well. The Sherry is a nice sweet dark cherry note in the backbone. It grows on you through the glass with notes of cinnamon and Rose water.54.0 USD per Bottle
Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed September 2, 2023I get a lot of corn on the body. A little bit of sweetness in the middle of carries through a caramel flavor to the end. Red fruit notes across the top, like strawberries. But hint of rhubarb as well. Finish is fairly harsh and has notes of rubber.
Jack Daniel's Bonded Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USAReviewed September 2, 2023Slightly banana on the nose. Body initially hits with a bunch of old and a little bit of pepper. Lots of sweet Stone fruit notes like fresh peach. As it transitions to the finish, I get peanut butter for days. Lots of nuttiness from the wood, and it's just peanut butter after peanut butter too close out the glass, and continues to linger. Would put in the category of a dessert, rather than a sipper.
Pursuit United Blended Bourbon
Bourbon — USAReviewed September 1, 2023Tons of smooth creamy butterscotch at the front. A bit of spiced apple and caramel in the middle. Then interesting, lightly Jasmine note, and then middle of the finish. But I really keep coming back to that initial suite smooth and creamy, with a hint of vanilla, butterscotch at the beginning.
Cecil & check it out Coleman Pursuit United the oak collection
Bourbon — USAReviewed July 6, 2023An interesting nose, with a bit of spice. Sweet. Body is where the vanilla hits and a bit of wood. Quite smooth with slightly smokey undertones.
Aerstone Land Cask 10 Year
Peated Single Malt — ScotlandReviewed June 24, 2023A nice sweet tobacco body, not dissimilar to a cigar malt. Deep notes of dark chocolate in background with lots of dark red cherries on top. Finish is subtlety smokey.
Talisker 2009 Distillers Edition (Bottled 2019)
Peated Single Malt — Islands, ScotlandReviewed June 24, 2023Nose is slightly waxy, with a touch of orange zest. Dark, earthy body of peat and plums. Slightly salty with a touch of white peach. Smooth with loads of sweet with a hint of vanilla.
Basil Hayden Dark Rye
Other Whiskey — Multiple CountriesReviewed April 14, 2023Don't appreciate this much at all. The initial spiciness and caramel gives way to an almost plastic flavor profile that leaves the mouth feeling grainy and with an oily and metallic taste.
Ardbeg 10 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandReviewed March 25, 2023A mix of the 5 an An Oa. A salty nose, but followed by a big, but smooth, smoke before bomb.
