Johnnie Walker Island Green
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed September 2, 2017 (edited January 10, 2018)Pretty similar to normal Green Label which is great, but a little more smoked added on. Great whisky! Easy to find the Clynelish in there too. Sweet honey, creamy, nice Peat smoke finish. -
Nose is sweet & fruity, maybe a little apple. Taste is lemon, mint, creamy, salty, and a little herbal. Nice dry woody finish. It's different, but in a great way! I got a little 50ml taster of this and I'm going to have to buy a bottle. It reminds me of Glenlivet but better and with more coastal fun.

Chivas Regal 18 Year Gold Signature
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed August 14, 2017 (edited December 11, 2017)For the first time on the nose of a whisky I can really smell the baked apple. Seriously, like baked apples and cinnamon. Vanilla and fruit in there too. Taste is spice, apple sauce, fruity sweet, but also dry with wood on the end. Pretty great! -
Macallan Double Cask 12 Year
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed August 6, 2017 (edited September 30, 2017)Macallan 12 Double Cask Nose is sweet fruit, floral, honey Taste is spicy, oak, some lemon honey, fairly dry. A few drops of water lowers the spice and adds more honey Got a great deal on some tasters. Probably going to have to pick up a few more. Later tasting: prunes and raisins on nose, taste is sweet dried fruit, oak, vanilla -
Nose: spice, honey Taste: oak, spice, honey, a little rough. Not as bourbon like with the oak as the no age statement version, less vanilla, but still oak-y. With 15+ minutes the spice and oak calm down to a nice honey and spice. Adding a tiny tiny bit of water is a good idea. Brings that honey sweetness and more fruit forward, some lemon in there too.

Highland Park Dark Origins
Single Malt — Orkney, Scotland
Reviewed August 1, 2017 (edited August 28, 2017)Reminds me a lot of the 12 year, but more sweetness. On the nose: sweet, gummi Bears, fruit. Taste: sweet fruit, vanilla, honey, Peat smoke, more heat on the end. -
Highland Park 12 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed July 31, 2017 (edited January 23, 2018)On the nose: sweet wine, gummi Bears, raisins. Taste: sweet fruit, vanilla, honey, nice Peat smoke on the end. Really great single malt. Hits a lot of the spots you want with scotch. A few drops of water hold down some spice and give a little more creaminess. -
Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 31, 2017Lasanta- nose: honey like the regular, hint of fruit, floral. Taste: much like the regular: sweet, honey, but this has added spice and a little fruitiness, more vanilla, not as good as the smooth creamy honey of the original. Finishes a little dry. Good, but I like the Original & the Quinta better. -
