Nose smells like a thin rye with notes of honey, spice and a bit of alcohol burn is not tough to find. Taste is mostly spice-y with a little bit of vanilla. A little bit of water and some whiskey stones makes this whiskey more enjoyable for me. If you keep it in your mouth for a little bit, and let it sit, it can bring out a little bit of caramel/honey/creaminess. Follow through is really strong spice/ethanol burn. Definitely interested in trying some of their other products. I think it's a bit thin to be my favorite rye, but the honey aspect is definitely unique to me. Good rye! I want to get a full bottle someday and see what my thoughts are.

Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 12, 2020 (edited July 24, 2020)I didn't love this the first time tasting it, but that was when I wasn't super far in to tasting bourbon. I like this alot more than last time! Some of the same tasting and nose notes. The nose smells like cinnamon and a little bit of ethanol, but oddly enough, this time around smelling it, I got a big citrus/almost lemon-y note. This didn't show up too much in the palate. There is notes of orange peel in it, to go along with vanilla, cinnamon spice, and the tiniest bit of caramel. The spice is definitely alot, which is something that I've grown to like more as I try more bourbons. I like the mouth feel as soon as you taste it. It is like an explosion of spice and proof to me initially, but then it goes away pretty quick, which I'm okay with, makes it an easy drinker. It goes well in an old fashioned, with the orange peel note as well as cinnamon. Definitely worth buying a bottle some time. -
Definitely love this one on the first taste. I enjoyed the standard Wild Turkey 101, but found it to be pretty strong with the proof. Everything about this whiskey is cool. the bottle is really unique looking, and high quality. The nose smells like Wild Turkey for sure, but not a ton of uniqueness going on in the nose. The taste is a really well done Kentucky Bourbon, but more mellow. Tasting notes are cinnamon, rye spice, vanilla, and even a little bit of a cream-soda type of sweetness to me. The follow through is pretty spicey and peppery to me, makes it interesting. I found this a little better when adding a bit of water into it, and with whiskey stones. I definitely want to taste this again, and have another Kentucky bourbon to compare it to and see if I can pick out what the mesquite smoking does to it. I think thatches one will for sure grow on me even more.39.99 USD per Bottle

This is my first Islay whiskey to taste. It’s interesting for sure, I won’t be drinking it again though. I like the smokey elements in it, but I’m not a fan of the sweetness and the fruitiness in tandem with the smokiness. I would much rather have a scotch that is only smoky and savory and salty with very little fruitiness and sweetness. This one doesn’t check those boxes off.

I am not a huge fan of high proof bourbons in my journey yet, so this isn’t exactly in my wheelhouse yet. I like it though. The notes are pretty distinct in this bourbon I feel like. Cinnamon, vanilla, cherry, and rye spice. It’s definitely a pretty complex mouth feel, the follow through is a pretty balanced sweet and spicy. After drinking this, I’m really interested in buying a bottle of Longbranch, since it’s lower proof, but has the interesting mesquite aspect to it. For the price, it definitely makes sense why it’s such a popular whiskey.

Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey
Flavored Whiskey — USA
Reviewed July 2, 2020 (edited October 15, 2020)WOW. They really nailed the peanut flavoring in this... I don't think I like drinking this neat, but I am very interested to see what it would be like to mix with other whiskeys or drinks to make cocktails. A peanut butter old fashioned might be very interesting. I want to try this out with rye, as it seems like peanut butter might go along well with the spiciness of the rye. It has potential. But drinking it neat is way too sweet in my opinion. I'm impressed at the blend of flavors. But as far as whiskey goes, I can't pick out many typical whiskey notes. It's a little better when you add ice, but it's just sooooo sweet, it's almost asking to be used as a sweetener for whiskey based cocktails to make for interesting new flavors. -
Not a fan of this at all. I don't know what I expected after hearing so much about it all my life, references in hip hop songs and movies etc... I guess I thought it would taste more sweet and creamy, but instead, I get a weird grape juice taste. Really hard to drink. I had to pour the last half of my drink out in the sink. Won't be buying again.
