Brandy de Jerez aged around 10 years in Oloroso casks. Not as sweet nor as refined as the “Finest Selection”. Oak, vanilla, figs, caramel and light spices on the nose. A little rough on the palate with raisins, wood notes, barrel spices, vanilla, caramel and hints of milk chocolate. Medium finish with nutty, bitter-sweet notes. A couple drops of water smoothed the rough edges.

It now has wonderful, thick, oakiness tempered by dried fruits, nuttiness, orange marmalade, carmel and vanilla notes. It’s semi-sweet and buttery. Finish is lengthy and warm with all the notes above intermingled. -
