CACHAÇA ESTAÇÃO DA CANA BRANCA INOX ESPECIAL
Cachaça — Monte Belo, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Reviewed July 5, 2024The production of Cachaça Estação da Cana began because residents of the Juréia district, located on the banks of the Muzambo River, in the city of Monte Belo, Minas Gerais, were looking for a quality and different product that represented the region. It was when Júlio César Benjamim, current owner and still owner of Estação da Cana, who until then had only had contact with cachaça that his great-grandfather had started with years before, decided to study the universe of the Brazilian distillate. He went in search of courses and lectures to learn, got to know different stills, studied in depth the production process of each one of them so that, in 2015, he began planting the first sugarcane that would give rise to his cachaça. With the sugarcane planted, it was time to think of a name that represented his family and the city. And that was not a difficult task. Juréia was an important railway hub for more than four decades. Coincidentally, Benjamim's family migrated to the region in 1911, the same year the railway began to be built. So, nothing more fitting than naming your drink Estação da Cana, paying homage to an important point in the region and your family. The cachaças are distilled in copper stills, stored and matured in wooden barrels in a sill system. It has strict quality control to produce a good and legitimate distillate. Cachaça Estação Da Cana Inox is pure, no aged and with 45% alcohol content very integrated, it has a bright, límpid, medium body, balanced acidity, aromatic, floral, herbal, agreeable sweetness of sugarcane, On the palate, a slight sweetness, evident notes of vegetal and sugarcane. CACHAÇA PRAZER DE MINAS PRATA JEQUITIBÁ
Cachaça — Esmeraldas, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Reviewed June 29, 2024In 1999, in Esmeraldas, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, Euler Chaves decided to use part of his property to invest in a high quality cachaça. On a visit to the Federal University of Lavras (Ufla), he discovered a new concept in manufacturing the most hygienic drink and with total respect for the environment. The entrepreneur brought selected yeasts from there, a great novelty at the time. Cachaça Prazer de Minas is produced by combining Minas Gerais tradition with technology. The sugar cane is selected, cut, washed and crushed in mills, generating pure juice, which is fermented naturally in stainless steel vats and in an air-conditioned room. Distillation is done in copper stills, heated by a boiler. Only the best part of the distillate is aged. It is these factors that make Prazer de Minas one of the most awarded cachaças in Brazil. All production stages are recorded to maintain a quality standard, which is measured and audited by Inmetro. Cachaça Prazer de Minas Prata Jequitibá is aged just 2 years in Jequitibá, the most neutral Brazilian wood.
