I think I was expecting more from a 14 year. Not as complex as I’d like. Also not as sweet either and the peat taste is lost behind briny- saltyness. Finish is smooth but not long and it’s a little salty. Had it with a meal the first taste and didn’t like it as much as when I had it as a nightcap. By itself, the flavors are more noticeable and its more enjoyable.55.0 USD per Bottle

Sweet nose, nice and lightly sweet taste- somewhere between Glenmoragie Nector Dor and Macallan 12. The finish is incredibly smooth with a light peaty smokiness. Very surprisingly smooth... I think I like this almost as much as the Lagavulin 16. If Macallan 12 and Lagavulin 16 had a baby, it would be this.49.99 USD per Bottle

Overall I enjoy this - there's an early "floral" taste in the beginning I'm not crazy about and the finish is smooth but not memorable. The flavor is complex and interesting, which makes up for its flaws. After drinking this for a few nights in a row, it's really growing on me, so up'd my score .2574.99 USD per Bottle

I wasn't expecting this to be good because it was clearly very gimmicky... but I thought maybe it would be at least somewhat drinkable, but it is not. Even other scotches in a similar price range are drinkable, but this is straight up gross. Updated rating - when its very very chilled its not as bad.26.99 USD per Bottle

Very smooth, light scotch. The first "good" scotch I've had. I haven't tried it in a proper scotch glass, though - only sipped from a shot glass, which I learned later is not a good way to drink scotch! I'm curious to try this again, but my first impression was very positive. It's a very safe starter scotch, I think.57.99 USD per Bottle

Dalwhinnie Winter's Frost (Game of Thrones-House Stark)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 30, 2019 (edited September 23, 2019)I was surprised at how smooth a gimicky and less expensive scotch would be. My experience with cheaper alcohols has been an off-putting ethanol smell and taste, but this doesn't have either. It's sweet, light, and smooth. It's probably too light for me and doesn't have enough complexity, but it's a surprising good scotch. (Unlike the Johnny White Walker which is disgusting.) Of the scotches we've tried, it's my wife's favorite.29.99 USD per Bottle -
I really enjoy the nose and taste of this scotch. It's sweet - like butterscotch. The only part I'm not crazy about is the "hot" burn finish and there are less complexities in the flavor than the 16 years I've tried. I think the overall flavor of the Glenmoragies seem to be my favorite, I think I just need to try the 18 year to get a smoother more complex taste and finish.74.0 USD per Bottle

I'm still new to scotch, but so far this has been the best tasting scotch I've tried. At first the smokiness was a bit surprising, but I've come to enjoy the smell and taste. There are a lot of complex flavors, I'm not sure my palette is refined enough to name all of them - but I love that I can taste at least 3-4 distinct flavors. The finish is nice and long and smooth. I'm realizing I enjoy the scotches older than 12 years the best - they are smoother (less "hot"/burning) and seem to have more flavors.64.0 USD per Bottle
